"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."

Proverbs 3:5

Reflection:

In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, our family received life-changing news: we had to leave the United States and go to Honduras to process our residency. We had no clear answers or certainties. Our religious visa limited our options, and with a small baby, the doubts were overwhelming.

Would we be able to get our son’s passport in time? Could we travel together as a family? In that context of uncertainty, it felt like every step was a leap into the unknown. Yet, in those moments of greatest vulnerability, we learned to trust God more deeply. Despite the pain and fear, He provided the means and the time needed for our family to stay together.

Looking back, I see how God was with us, even when we couldn’t understand what was happening. It reminds me that faith doesn’t mean having all the answers but trusting the One who holds the future.

for Reflection:

  • How do you respond when faced with moments of uncertainty?

  • Is there a current situation where you need to trust God more?

  • What past experiences remind you of God’s faithfulness in difficult times?

Prayer:

Lord, when fear and uncertainty fill my heart, help me to remember that You are faithful. Grant me peace to trust in Your plans and the courage to move forward. Amen.
